The Queensland Revenue Office (QRO) is seeking a Director, Office of Commissioner (SO) to permanently join our organisation. This role is based in our Brisbane CBD office.In this role you will lead and coordinate the provision of high-level quality advice and information to the Commissioner of State Revenue (Commissioner) on effective and efficient strategies, processes and systems that support QRO deliverables and government priorities.Your typical day as Director, Office of Commissioner may include: - Leading and managing the functions of the Office of the Commissioner, including overseeing relevant budgets, financial and human resource reporting. Providing high quality analysis, advice and support to the Commissioner on complex strategic, technical and operational matters. Researching, drafting and reviewing a range of evidence-based advice, reports and responses on technical, operational and administrative matters to provide recommendations to the Commissioner. Collaborating with QRO senior executives to resolve complex, contentious, timecritical and confidential matters. Coordinating timely and quality responses to highly sensitive matters raised by the Office of the Under Treasurer or Minister's Office.To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate experience in providing high level executive support to senior executives in a large organisation or government department. You will have superior communication and negotiation skills, a collaborative and cooperative leadership style and exceptional time management skills. Your ability to quickly acquire an understanding of relevant government policies and technical matters, as well as sound judgment, personal integrity and political acumen will be key to your success in this role.Joining QRO in a leadership role, you will have opportunities for continued learning, growth and career development.
