Reporting Directly to the Commissioner, you will be an integral part of the senior executive team working alongside esteemed professionals, another Deputy Commissioners, the Chief Revenue Counsel and the Chief Digital and Information Officer (CDIO). In your first three months, your primary focus will be establishing key relationships within the management team and among your peers, laying the foundation for collaborative success. Critical to this will be developing your understanding of the business you operate in and being positioned to actively contribute to QRO's strategic planning for 2025 and beyond.
As a pivotal member of the executive team, you'll lead either the Enabling, Fines & SPER group or the Taxes, Revenue & Grants group. This will involve overseeing more than 500 Full-Time Equivalents (FTEs). You'll encounter challenges and opportunities for improvement while ensuring client satisfaction in a high-volume transactional environment. The team at QRO have a budget to expand their workforce to better deliver outcomes, and you will lead the recruitment processes to achieve this.
QRO prides itself on being a digitally led organisation that uses data-driven insights and consistently invests in leading technology and systems. As such, you'll be working closely with the CDIO on significant digital initiatives relating to QRO's online portal and telephony systems.
Success in this role hinges on your strategic ability to drive efficiency, exercise sound judgment, and navigate the political landscape adeptly while driving a culture of collaboration and participation. You'll be part of a supportive environment, benefiting from regular meetings with the Commissioner and ample autonomy to execute your responsibilities.
