Suzuran is a very successful Japanese grocery store and Sushi take-away restaurant located in Camberwell VIC. We have undoubtedly the most extensive range of Japanese food products available in Victoria. We are hiring a part time sushi bar kitchen hand now

**Position: Part-Time Sushi Bar Kitchen Hand**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Take customer orders in person and over the phone (English required)
- Assist with simple sushi preparation and packing
- Maintain a clean and organised work area
- Follow instructions from the sushi chef and support the team

**Working Hours**:

- **Part-time** (2-4 days per week, with potential to increase)
- Tuesday to Saturday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM / Sunday: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
- Must be **flexible** and available to work **weekends, public holidays**, and especially during the **holiday season (late November to end of December and beyond)**

**Requirements**:

- Intermediate English (Able to take orders in person and over the phone)
- Punctual, honest, and hardworking
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment
- Willingness to learn and follow directions
- **Prior experience with sushi making or fish preparation is a plus**:

- Simple sushi preparation and packing
- Commitment to at least **6 months** of employment
- Understanding of Japanese working culture is preferred
- Must have valid Australian working rights
- (Student and Working Holiday Visa holders welcome - must be available for at least 6 months)_
