**Position description**

Reporting to the Traffic Supervisor, you will assist with import and export logistic functions and system data entry.

**Job Duties/Essential Functions**
- Full function import and export into Australia and New Zealand
- Place bookings with freight forwarder / shipping line
- Compiling and processing of all import/export documentation, including Customs/Biosecurity/MPI paperwork eg FTA, treatment certificates, duty drawbacks, export certificates, EDN etc
- Preparation of import customs clearance
- Verification of freight rates against negotiated charge structure
- Arrange delivery to depot or warehouse
- Liaising with freight forwarders, customs broker, couriers, transport companies, 3PL and shipping lines
- Provide visibility and assistance to the wider buying team of import/export shipments by sea, air or courier
- Reporting of deviations in Supply Chain and charges incurred
- Facilitating the processing of duty and freight rate requests, and import/export requirements
- Assist in the preparation of freight, warehousing, transport quotes
- Problem solving and issue resolution for both internal and external stakeholders
- Assisting the manager and supervisor with various logistic projects
- Assisting in other areas of the department as necessary

**Required qualifications / industry specific skills**

Education/Training:

- Bachelor Degree in disciplines of Commerce, Marketing (Channels), Supply Chain, Accounting/Finance, Communications or International Business.

Knowledge/Skills:

- Strong attention to detail, responsible, logical, proactive, studious, hands on, willing to learn and able to prioritise
- Approachable with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong probem solving, evaluation and analytical skills
- Strong math and Microsoft excel skills
- Ability to multi-task, with strong organisation and problem solving skills
- Google Suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides)

**Other Specific requirements**
- Satisfactory criminal record check
- If successful, you will be required to undertake role and department specific training within specified timeframes
