About RAMJO
Joint Organisations are legislated groupings of regional councils across NSW. The Riverina and Murray Joint Organisation (RAMJO) comprises the following 11 Councils: Albury City, Balranald, Berrigan, Edward River, Federation, Griffith City, Leeton, Murray River, Murrumbidgee, Narrandera and Wenworth. NSW Joint Organisations operate to fulfil three primary roles, as follows:
Regional strategic planning and priority setting
Advocacy and leadership
Inter-governmental cooperation.
Through its strong collaborative network, RAMJO works to create a thriving region abundant in sustainable communities via collaborating effectively through strategic planning, priority setting, advocating, engaging with governments and key stakeholders to ensure the long-term sustainability, well-being and livability of the region's communities.
About the role
As RAMJO's Regional Procurement Project Manager, you'll coordinate and deliver collaborative procurement initiatives that achieve cost savings, strengthen supplier relationships and create long-term value for our 11 member councils. You'll lead the development of a regional procurement strategy, manage contracts and drive projects from concept to completion ensuring compliance, maximising value and making a measurable difference for communities across the Riverina Murray region.
Demonstrated experience and a proven track record in a procurement role, showcasing expertise in managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts and ensuring cost effective procurement practices
Strong strategic mindset capabilities, with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and implement effective solutions
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse data and make informed decisions
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely
Demonstrated stakeholder management and relationship building capabilities
Demonstrated project management experience
Class C Drivers Licence
Bachelor Degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics, Business Administration or Supply Chain Management or Diploma of Procurement and Contracting (Local Government)
Local Government experience in NSW, or demonstrable knowledge of the Local Government Sector.
