**The Opportunity**

We are looking for a Manufacturing Systems Technician to perform maintenance and calibration of production equipment and prototype rigs, build equipment and assembly stations, and implement manufacturing line improvements and repairs.

The role reports to Manufacturing Systems Technician Team Lead in our growing Advanced Manufacturing team and collaborates closely with Manufacturing Systems, NPI (New Product Introduction), Pilot Manufacturing and Quality.

**Your Success**
- Perform scheduled calibration and maintenance activities of production rigs and equipment
- Build new prototype and manufacturing rigs to current Baraja standard and design intent
- Update/modify existing rigs for new products and to implement approved engineering changes
- Create and update rig drawings and calibration and maintenance documentation
- Perform repairs of manufacturing rigs and assembly equipment
- Perform small jobs in the workshop as needed - related to milling, 3D printing, laser cutting and other simple jig and product reworks, as required
- Report to the Manufacturing Systems Technician Team Lead
- Perform any other functions that the business requires from time to time

**Your Qualifications & Skills**
You've a commercial experience in the following:

- Calibration and maintenance experience of assembly and test equipment
- Hands-on experience in a workshop (milling, laser cutting, 3D printing, working as a tradie / mechanics)
- High school or higher degree in Mechatronics
- Desirable_
Ideally, you have experience in the following:

- Hand tools and light machinery including Battery power tools, Drill press, Drop saw.
- Prototyping equipment such as 3D printers, Laser Cutter or Manual 3 Axis Mill
- Manufacturing experience (small volume, medium volume)
- Calibration and maintenance experience of assembly and test equipment

**Career Development**

Our lab is equipped with a universal robot arm (6 axis). We're experimenting with Motion Stages and exploring the possibility of implementing automation and are open to Continuous Improvement ideas.
