Job Role Overview:

As a Data Center Specialist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostics and troubleshooting to quickly identify the cause(s) of issues and replace faulty components with minimal disruption.

  • Perform post-execution quality checks to verify that grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling are set up properly according to safety protocols and deployment standards.
  • Decommission hardware for simple changes and refreshes following standard procedures with minimal guidance.
  • Communicate, report, and escalate incidents to relevant data center operations management units, technician leads, and engineering specialists.
  • Assist and provide guidance to other technicians to complete challenging or complex tasks.
  • Complete required training aligned to the role and workload; observe more experienced technicians to gain hands-on experience and relevant on-the-job training.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment by sharing information with others, contributing to regular meetings, asking questions, and staying informed about the status of others' work.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent, basic knowledge of computer hardware and components, and 1+ year(s) experience supporting IT equipment or related technology. Preferred qualifications include 2+ years' experience supporting IT equipment or related technology and applicable certifications such as CompTIA (A+, Server+, Network+) and Basic Structure Cabling.

Key Requirements:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent

• Basic knowledge of computer hardware and components

• 1+ year(s) experience supporting IT equipment or related technology

• Preferred qualifications: 2+ years' experience supporting IT equipment or related technology and applicable certifications
