As a Casual Library Assistant, you will be part of a small but ambitious Council, supporting our greatest asset - our community.The purpose of the role is to provide coverage for team members who are on leave.

This will include helping customers access library technology and online platforms, assisting customers to find library resources as well as keeping library spaces tidy through shelving library resources and shelf tidying.Other tasks you might be assist with are library events and programs and processing new library items.What You'll Bring to the RoleWith a Higher School Certificate or equivalent, you will have a community focus with experience in customer service and good computer literacy skills.We would love to hear from candidates who have previous library experience, and who have the flexibility in their life to be available to work shifts at short notice.You will also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to manage your time effectively.The position is identified as a Child-Related position under the Commission of Children and Young People Act 1998 and the successful candidate is required to hold a valid Working With Children Check.How to ApplyApply now by completing the online application form below.
