**JOB TITLE**: Clinical Lead Australia

JOB SUMMARY

The CL role maintains territory coverage of selected states, as decided by Management and where primary support and travel is required; other states will require telephone support and possible travel as required.

REPORTING

Reports to the General Manager Australia / New Zealand

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Works with a high degree of independence to lead and develop field based clinical specialists into a high performance team.
Responsible for working with the Global and Regional Clinical, Technical, and Customer Support Teams to integrate product support activities such as call schedules, product training, and live and web based training for internal colleagues and clients.
Works closely with sales team and marketing to ensure market drivers/needs are adequate to achieve business needs.
Evaluates communication and documentation programs and support tools for effectiveness through customer and sales force feedback as well as objective research.
Provides clinical in-service assistance. Analyzes and resolves problems. Assists customers in the optimal use of products.
Evaluates internal and external requests for clinical information, determines appropriate sources of clinical expertise, devises plan for support, and coordinates/deploys team as needed. Coordinates support and training of new trial sites.
Organizes, coordinates, and presents product seminars for current and potential customers and sales/clinical associates, including competitor product functionality vs. TBCT.
Identifies customer needs and assesses opportunities to deliver value.
Executes effective transfer of knowledge to customers during on-site training.
Provides clinical or technical training support to field associates.
Identifies and solves complex and/or unusual customer problems.
Documents and provides written solutions to recurring problems, including the training of others.
Assists in trials including design, training of site participants, and clinical monitoring.
Analyses therapy trends in the marketplace and communicates to necessary departments.
Provides detailed input/feedback to Account Managers regarding accounts and make recommendations to improve customer satisfaction.
Travel and support intermittently to sites outside of allocated geography when required.
Actively supports and presents at Successions training programs.
Efficient handling of customer complaints and concerns as well as providing timely feedback.
Interacts as a field expert with other functional areas of Terumo BCT to develop a thorough exchange of planning and information.
Transfers knowledge of therapeutic apheresis and blood component segment clinical needs and processes to other areas of the company, i.e. sales, marketing, research development and others.
Provides phone support to customers during and after hours, including weekend on call.
Direct supervision of field based clinical specialist team in execution of their roles and territories.
Supervision of training and support for Australia including all software rollouts, Successions programs and new device training and implementation.
Execution of training and sign off for all new staff on current and new devices in Australia.
Provide clinical input on tenders and quotes as required.
Plan, Facilitate and Execute Train the Trainer Program in AU.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the role.

Experience

Minimum 5 years of relevant technical or clinical experience or

Minimum 5 years of successful clinical support or relevant experience in a field sales or marketing environment.

Demonstrated ability and desire to teach. Demonstrated self-confidence and effectiveness in dealing with a wide variety of student types.
