Electrical Fire Technician

JOB PURPOSE:To carry out routine inspection and testing of fire protection systems as per AS 1851.To install equipment and carry out minor works, diagnose faults and carry out repair work, maintain and test a wide range of fire protection systems and equipment to Chubb Fire & Security standards of quality and delivery excellence whilst exceeding customer service expectations at every available opportunityTo assist in growing our sales, increasing our market share and growing the nett profitability of our companyEnsure customer's property is compliant with regards to the Australia Standards and in accordance with the contract we are engaged under.STAKEHOLDERS (Key Contacts):Fixed Service staff, Customer Service and Administration staff, Service Sales staff, and Portable Service staffCRITICAL RESULTSOPERATIONAL:Identify, install, diagnose, service, repair and carry out minor works on fixed fire protection and safety systems and equipment in accordance Chubb Fire & Security proceduresComplete and provide evidence of maintenance performed on equipment in an accurate and legible manner, using systems including; hand held technology.Survey customer premises and recommend fire protection and safety systems and equipment, in accordance with Chubb Fire & Security procedures and processesMaximise efficiencies via route planning, time management, stock management, and service deliveryParticipate in stocktakes and be responsible for inventory managementManage and maintain all assigned company property, including documents, tools, equipment, vehicles, product, etcReport work progress and performance by completing productivity / key performance indicator (KPI) reportsComply with all company policies, procedures, and processesAttend all scheduled training programsRecommend improved business processes by actively engaging in Quality and ACE programsCUSTOMER SERVICE:Provide assistance to customers in the use of fire and safety equipmentEffectively communicate with the customerEnsure highest level of presentation as a Chubb Fire & Security employee, including individual presentation, vehicle presentation, etcEnsure punctuality and communicate attendance or planned attendance to site.Comply with all Customer requirements, as defined by the Customer contractCUSTOMER GROWTH:Increase the Customer base through the active promotion and sale of products and servicesReduce Customer attrition through the delivery of excellent customer serviceGather market information to assist in market analysisENVIRONMENT, HEALTH & SAFETY:Comply with the EH&S Policy and applicable regulatory and company EH&S rules and requirementsReport to supervisor conditions or practices that are either unsafe or that may adversely impact the environment, to ensure prompt resolution of potential hazardsAttend scheduled EH&S training programsActively support the organization's efforts to meet or exceed EH&S goals and plansRecommend improved EH&S practicesAdditional InformationAbout Us, Our Culture & What We Can Offer YouEstablished over 200 years ago, Chubb Fire & Security are a global business driven by keeping people and the world safe.
