Job Overview:

We are seeking an Electrical Fire Technician to join our team. As an Electrical Fire Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out routine inspection and testing of fire protection systems, installing equipment, diagnosing faults, and performing repair work to maintain and test a wide range of fire protection systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections of fire protection systems to ensure compliance with relevant standards;
  • Install and commission fire safety equipment, including alarm systems and extinguishers;
  • Detect and rectify faults in fire protection systems and equipment;
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance performed on equipment;
  • Assess customer premises to identify fire protection and safety requirements;
  • Recommend fire protection and safety solutions to customers;
  • Optimize efficiency through effective route planning, time management, and stock control;
  • Participate in inventory checks and manage stock levels;
  • Manage and maintain company property, including documents, tools, equipment, vehicles, and products;
  • Report work progress and performance by completing productivity/KPI reports;
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and processes;
  • Attend scheduled training programs;
  • Propose improved business processes through Quality and ACE programs;

Customer Service:

  • Provide assistance to customers in the use of fire and safety equipment;
  • Communicate effectively with customers;
  • Maintain a high level of presentation as a representative of our organization, including personal appearance and vehicle presentation;
  • Ensure punctuality and communicate attendance or planned absence to site;
  • Comply with all customer requirements, as defined by the customer contract;

Customer Growth:

  • Increase the customer base through the active promotion and sale of products and services;
  • Reduce customer attrition through the delivery of excellent customer service;
  • Gather market information to assist in market analysis;

Environment, Health & Safety:

  • Comply with the EH&S Policy and applicable regulatory and company EH&S rules and requirements;
  • Report to supervisor conditions or practices that are unsafe or that may adversely impact the environment;
  • Attend scheduled EH&S training programs;
  • Support the organization's efforts to meet or exceed EH&S goals and plans;
  • Propose improved EH&S practices;
