Our therapies treat patients suffering from incontinence-related conditions with our sacral neuromodulation (SNM) system InterstimX.ResponsibilitiesThis position is responsible for assisting surgeons with technical support in the operating theatre when implanting a Sacral Neuromodulator and providing ongoing care for patients who have received therapy pre- and post-procedure.
The Clinical Specialist will work closely with the Territory Managers, in the Victoria region, to organize case support, provide customer service and support, and practice professional and effective administration, inventory management and expense planning and control.Work with the Territory Managers to understand the clinical and service needs of specific customers and provide the highest level of clinical service and technical supportSupport the Territory Managers through aligned promotion and selling of defined Medtronic products & services to key specialists and technical staffCollaborate with the Territory Managers and broader team to actively participate in quarterly business reviews and business planning and execute agreed actionsProactively meet with the Territory Managers and other Clinical Specialists (CSs) in managing case coverage requirements for the state.In consultation with the Territory Managers, play a lead role with technical in-services, presentations and training to specified customers.Effectively communicate with the Territory Managers and other relevant stakeholders to provide optimal support to implanting surgeons and patients.Consistently set and meet quarterly performance goalsSupport Territory Managers with inventory control, including the expedited delivery of stock to customers as needed.Ensure the highest level of product knowledge is attained and maintained.Monitor field inventory effectively to ensure appropriate levels of inventory in each location relative to demandComplete cycle counts of all required field locations on time and follow up on any missing stockRetrieve all expiring products from field locations and return them to the warehouse before expiryAll activities must be performed in compliance with the local Quality SystemPerforms duties in compliance with environmental, health and safety-related site rules, policies or governmental regulationsAll other duties as assignedTravel requirement: approximately 25%Required Knowledge and ExperienceA Bachelor's degree in Nursing qualifications, a general science degree, or similar preferredAt least 2 years' experience as a Clinical Specialist or equivalent technical medical experienceStrong clinical and business relationships with customersAdvanced understanding of internal workings of hospital labs/theatres/departments e.g. purchasing, consignment, clinics, patient & implant scheduling and key influencersComputer literacy including sound knowledge of the MS Office suite of software.Maintain a valid driver's licensePhysical Job RequirementsThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position.Benefits & CompensationMedtronic offers a competitive Salary and flexible Benefits Package.
