A Day in the Life:
As a Clinical Specialist in Pelvic Health, you will work closely with surgeons to provide technical support in the operating theatre when implanting a Sacral Neuromodulator. You will also be responsible for providing ongoing care for patients who have received therapy pre- and post-procedure.
- Work with the Territory Managers to understand the clinical and service needs of specific customers and provide the highest level of clinical service and technical support.
- Support the Territory Managers through aligned promotion and selling of defined Medtronic products & services to key specialists and technical staff.
- Collaborate with the Territory Managers and broader team to actively participate in quarterly business reviews and business planning and execute agreed actions.
- Proactively meet with the Territory Managers and other Clinical Specialists (CSs) in managing case coverage requirements for Victoria.
- In consultation with the Territory Managers, play a lead role with technical in-services, presentations and training to specified customers.
- Effectively communicate with the Territory Managers and other relevant stakeholders to provide optimal support to implanting surgeons and patients.
- Consistently set and meet quarterly performance goals.
- Support Territory Managers with inventory control, including the expedited delivery of stock to customers as needed.
- Ensure the highest level of product knowledge is attained and maintained.
- Monitor field inventory effectively to ensure appropriate levels of inventory in each location relative to demand.
- Complete cycle counts of all required field locations on time and follow up on any missing stock.
- Retrieve all expiring products from field locations and return them to the warehouse before expiry.
- Perform duties in compliance with the local Quality System.
- Perform duties in compliance with environmental, health and safety-related site rules, policies or governmental regulations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Nursing qualifications, a general science degree, or similar preferred.
- At least 2 years' experience as a Clinical Specialist or equivalent technical medical experience.
- Strong clinical and business relationships with customers.
- Advanced understanding of internal workings of hospital labs/theatres/departments e.g. purchasing, consignment, clinics, patient & implant scheduling and key influencers.
- Computer literacy including sound knowledge of the MS Office suite of software.
- Maintain a valid driver's license.
