It's an exciting time for tennis in Australia and we have ambitious plans to continue to grow the game from grassroots through to high performance. We are transforming how we deliver tennis, with the aim of making it more accessible, to more people, more often. To help us achieve our plans, we are looking for an Infrastructure and Planning Project Officer to join our Tennis New South Wales team.
In conjunction with the Infrastructure and Planning Manager and wider Tennis Development team, you will lead the delivery of project and grant readiness capability support and programs, create and use data-based insights and technical information to inform planning of infrastructure within tennis venues, administer internal grant funding programs, and foster effective relationships with sector, government and tennis stakeholders.
About the role
- In this role you will:_
- Coordinate a multitude of NSW infrastructure projects in partnership with Infrastructure and Planning Manager and engage relevant stakeholders to achieve required outcomes
- Provide technical and development advice where relevant on NSW infrastructure projects
- Provide and promote funding opportunities to NSW venues as they relate to infrastructure development and regularly update the broader staff group as per opportunities for funding
- Coordinate the ATP Cup Legacy Fund program and other tennis-led funding processes
- Build the project and grant capability of internal and external stakeholders, including TNSW's regional tennis development team, local clubs/coaches/operators and local government
- Contribute to, build and leverage data-led insights and planning that deliver identified facility development, venue sustainability and participation outcomes
About you
- What you will bring to the role:_
- High level of organisational skills with strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and oral interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated Computer Literacy in Microsoft Suite
- Keen interest in sport, preferably with a background or knowledge of Tennis
- Local Government and Sport Sector knowledge is highly desirable
- Tertiary Qualifications in Recreation Planning, Sports Administration or similar would be well regarded
- Demonstrated capability or interest in learning to create/maintain data-led insights, including working with databases, analytical tools, infographics, GIS mapping and similar
- Stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Alignment with the Tennis values of Excellence, Humility, Collaboration and Imagination
- You must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check
