Long Distance Truck Driver

We currently have multiple vacancies for experienced Long Distance Truck Driver (Interstate).
Experience in operating A-double and B-double is essential.You'll be providing excellent transport services to our customers and maintaining our health and safety standards.What you'll be doing in this jobDriving vehicles to transport materials (interstate/long distance)Inspecting and maintaining vehicle supplies and equipment such as diesel, oil, water, tires, lights, and brakes to ensure that the vehicle is in a proper and safe working conditionMaintaining records such as work diary, cargo consignment notes, and obtain proof of delivery for every deliveryUsing and maintaining tools and equipment found on commercial vehicles such as weighing and measuring devices and restraint equipmentChecking the load corresponds with the paperwork and recording breakage or damageMaking sure the load is correctly loaded and secured by the appropriate equipment when loading or before departing depotCalculating and estimating the weight of loads to comply with load limitsCoupling and uncoupling trailers.There'll be work on weekends and public holidays.About YouHere are the skills and qualifications you'll need to be considered for this role.Essential CriteriaValid MC Driver's LicenseExperience operating A double & B double vehicles.Knowledge of the National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Scheme (NHVAS) along with BFM standardsAttained unit of competency TLIF0005 - Apply a fatigue risk management system (BFM Drivers only)Demonstrated driving record (a recent Driving History/ Demerit Point Record)Driving experience (an internal driving assessment will take place)Ability to safely conduct manual handling activitiesGood communication skillsActing with integrityAbility to comply with Company policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.Desirable CriteriaKnowledge of the Australian Dangerous Goods Code (ADG)A Dangerous Goods Licence and Forklift Licence would be highly regarded.About DGL GroupAt DGL Group, we focus on solving problems for our customers.
