Job Overview:

As a professional long haul truck driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods across the country. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of skill and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload cargo from trailers using manual handling equipment and following safety procedures.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain your vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition, including checking tire pressure, oil levels, and brake function.
  • Logistics and Scheduling: Plan and coordinate your route to meet delivery deadlines, taking into account factors such as traffic, weather, and road conditions.
  • Cargo Security: Ensure that all cargo is properly secured and protected during transport.
  • Communication: Maintain regular communication with dispatchers, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth logistics and resolve any issues that may arise.

Requirements:

  • Licenses and Certifications: Hold a valid MC Driver's License and have experience operating A double & B double vehicles.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Have knowledge of the National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Scheme (NHVAS) and be able to safely conduct manual handling activities.
  • Personal Qualities: Possess good communication skills, act with integrity, and be able to comply with Company policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
