Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

Are you looking for a challenging and rewarding career in the transport industry? Do you have experience operating A-double and B-double vehicles?

We are seeking an experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods across long distances, adhering to all relevant safety regulations and ensuring that your vehicle is properly maintained.

\r

The ideal candidate will have a valid MC Driver's License, experience operating A double & B double vehicles, knowledge of the National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Scheme (NHVAS) along with BFM standards, and a demonstrated driving record.

\r

Additional desirable criteria include knowledge of the Australian Dangerous Goods Code (ADG), a Dangerous Goods Licence, and a Forklift Licence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • \r
  • Drive vehicles to transport materials across long distances\r
  • Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment to ensure proper working condition\r
  • Maintain records such as work diary, cargo consignment notes, and obtain proof of delivery for every delivery\r
  • Use and maintain tools and equipment found on commercial vehicles\r
  • Check the load corresponds with the paperwork and recording breakage or damage\r
  • Make sure the load is correctly loaded and secured by the appropriate equipment when loading or before departing depot\r
  • Couple and uncouple trailers\r
  • Calculate and estimate the weight of loads to comply with load limits\r

Requirements:

  • Valid MC Driver's License\r
  • Experience operating A double & B double vehicles\r
  • Knowledge of the National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Scheme (NHVAS) along with BFM standards\r
  • Demonstrated driving record\r
  • Ability to safely conduct manual handling activities\r
  • Good communication skills\r
  • Acting with integrity\r
  • Ability to comply with legislative requirements\r
  • Knowledge of the Australian Dangerous Goods Code (ADG)\r
  • Dangerous Goods Licence and Forklift Licence highly regarded\r
