Australia Wadalba Community School P&C Full time

Canteen Assistant needed at Wadalba Community School P&C - immediate start.

You will be required to work Mondays and Fridays on a casual employment basis as needed between the hours 9:00am and 2:30pm during the school terms. Shifts may vary throughout the week.

Tasks and duties:

- Cleaning and maintaining the cooking utensils, dishes, cutlery and other area to maintain a safe and hygienic work environment on a daily basis
- Assisting with food preparation, cooking and food storage as required to meet recess and lunch service times
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills serving children at lunch and recess times
- Operation of the cash register and EFTPOS machine
- Providing high quality, healthy food to our customers in a professional manner
- Assisting the Canteen Manager to maintain canteen profitably
- Maintain Food Safe practices at all times

The position requires these skills:

- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work effectively in a busy environment
- Policies and procedures compliance
- Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to successfully communicate with a range of people.
- MUST HAVE a current working with children check

Employees are paid in accordance with the Fast FoodIndustry Award 2010 - Award ID MA000003. Pay rate depends on age.

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $12.36 - $30.91 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
