What to Expect
- The Commercial Lead, Megapack, sits within Tesla's utility-scale project sales and business development team, responsible for leading commercial negotiation and ensuring consistency and standardisation across multiple projects.
- As a key member of the Business Development and Sales team, you will have prior experience operating within multiple workstreams. Experience in the renewable energy industry with negotiation of complex project-financed EPC contracts is highly regarded. Demonstrated knowledge of bankability requirements and contract risk profiles is a plus.

What You'll Do
- Lead negotiations of multiple large complex project-financed assets through negation of various contracts, including EPC, Equipment Supply, Long Term Services, Software as a Service (SaaS) and Off-takes
- Lead development of new contract forms to suit emerging or developing commercial structures where necessary
- Provide strategic direction on commercial-contractual matters, acting as a commercial advisor to the Business Development function
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of Tesla's standard contract forms through engagement with the global teams
- Identify project commercial, technical and delivery risks, develop effective mitigations and negotiate appropriate risk allocation between the parties
- Proactively manage external and internal stakeholder engagement to achieve timely close-out of contracts
- Preparation and presentation of deal parameters to secure relevant executive approvals

What You'll Bring
- Bachelor degree in Law, Business, Engineering or Finance
- At least 5+ years of contract negotiation, legal, commercial, or other comparable experience
- Excellent communication and influencing skills; experienced in building strong working relationships and comfortable interacting with Senior Management
- Ability to organize multiple tasks and work streams, proven track record of client-facing communication and flexible time-management with changing priorities
- Highly driven, can thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and deal with ambiguity based on a "can-do", solutions-oriented attitude
