Position Summary: Within the SPA Financial Professional Services team, we are seeking a committed junior tester, working on our key banking projects within Australia and New Zealand project streams. You will be a key part of the SPA Financial Professional Services team, working on major product releases on a large program of work across multiple customer accounts and solutions. This includes but not limited to ATMs and other devices that can dispense and accept cash as well as transaction switching solutions. You will work closely with the Professional Services QA team, Project/Delivery Manager(s) within Australia and New Zealand.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform different types of testing such as functional testing, device testing and performance testing
- Set up test environments such as installing Windows Operating system and ATMs
- Work with the QA lead, and Project team to understand requirements and provide inputs into overall test planning and subsequent execution
- Design, create and execute test cases based on Solution Requirement Specifications, development tasks, and project documentation.
- Analyze test results and develop skills in diagnosing root causes of defects
- Raise defects and contain appropriate levels of information and collaborate with developers for defect validation
- Prepare and submit daily test execution/completion reports
- Contribute to expanding and maintaining a test repository
- Contribute to expanding and maintaining software release documents
- Experience with the Atlassian toolsets, namely of JIRA and confluence
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills required E.g. MS Word and Excel
- Experience using Zephyr is a nice-to-have
Education and Desired Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (preferred), Information Technology or equivalent
- Strong operating system knowledge across Windows
- Proficient in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python
- Have an understanding of the various phases/types of testing and software development life cycle
- Experience with test automation tools/frameworks is preferred
- Automation testing - API, Transaction Payment in a CI/CD Pipeline such as Jenkins (nice to have)
- Previous experience in testing ATM solutions is preferred.
- Up to 2 years of hand-on quality assurance experience.
- Note: Australian citizens and PR holders preferred
