Software Engineering Professional
This is a challenging role, ideal for someone who combines strong software fundamentals with expertise in performance optimization and data systems.
In this position, you will join a research-oriented engineering team focused on developing high-performance systems that process large volumes of market data. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Designing and building scalable data pipelines using Python & Spark
Developing and maintaining software components that support research workflows
Implementing observability, monitoring, and tuning for system performance and throughput
Optimizing resource usage and infrastructure costs (especially in cloud environments like AWS)
Contributing to tooling, automation, and internal platform improvements
Documenting best practices and guiding engineering decisions with a long-term mindset
Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to the growth of the team
Requirements:
Extensive experience in software engineering, focusing on backend platforms and Python Data Systems
Strong programming skills in Python, with an advantage if C++ or Rust have been used
Familiarity with modern tools such as PostgreSQL, AWS, Kafka, and Spark
Strong problem-solving skills, enjoying deep dives into performance, reliability, and scale
