Software Engineering Professional

This is a challenging role, ideal for someone who combines strong software fundamentals with expertise in performance optimization and data systems.

In this position, you will join a research-oriented engineering team focused on developing high-performance systems that process large volumes of market data. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and building scalable data pipelines using Python & Spark
  • Developing and maintaining software components that support research workflows
  • Implementing observability, monitoring, and tuning for system performance and throughput
  • Optimizing resource usage and infrastructure costs (especially in cloud environments like AWS)
  • Contributing to tooling, automation, and internal platform improvements
  • Documenting best practices and guiding engineering decisions with a long-term mindset
  • Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to the growth of the team

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in software engineering, focusing on backend platforms and Python Data Systems
  • Strong programming skills in Python, with an advantage if C++ or Rust have been used
  • Familiarity with modern tools such as PostgreSQL, AWS, Kafka, and Spark
  • Strong problem-solving skills, enjoying deep dives into performance, reliability, and scale
