We are looking for a Governance Manager to join our team, in this permanent, full-time role in our Sydney head office.

**About the role**:
As the Governance Manager, you will drive, manage and facilitate organisation-wide governance activities with a focus on data governance. Over a number of projects, you will ensure governance practices within the business are performed in line with our Data Governance Framework, Risk Management Framework and other key documents such as the Privacy Policy and Records Management policy.

**Some of your tasks will include**:

- Lead the Line 2 governance activities and have responsibility for improving the quality and managing the protection of sensitive data and information assets.
- Develop and embed policies and processes to improve how we collect, manage, store, use and retain data in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
- Implement the data governance strategy, framework, and roadmap with a focus on improvement of data quality and the protection of sensitive data through modifications to organisation behaviour, policies and standards.
- Identify new business opportunities pertaining to the use of information assets to achieve efficiency and effectiveness in the marketplace / represent data as a strategic business asset.
- Manage the Capital Partnerships Governance Committee including collation of packs and managing action items with business owners

**About you**:

- ASX listed, REIT and property industry experience preferable
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a major services organization, with large-scale data, records or project management and oversight experience.
- Knowledge of data and privacy related regulatory requirements and emerging trends and issues
- Demonstrated experience in establishing and managing governance and data protection management practices and frameworks
- Demonstrated consulting skills, with change management concepts and strategies, including communication and culture change
- Subject matter expert who can influence the way things are done
