This role also includes statutory responsibilities as the Appointed Electrical Supervisor/Electrical Nominee, ensuring all systems meet regulatory standards.
You will work closely with planning and maintenance teams to ensure maximum availability, reliability, and performance of critical electrical assets.
This is a permanent, full-time position, working on a 5:2 Roster roster located in Greenbushes, offered as either DIDO or residential.Responsibilities include· supervise installation, maintenance, and testing of electrical equipment across site infrastructure;· provide technical leadership and support to internal teams and stakeholders;· act as the appointed Statutory Electrical Supervisor/Electrical Nominee as required;· develop and implement preventative maintenance strategies for HV assets;· ensure compliance with all relevant electrical standards and legislative requirements;· prepare reports for statutory authorities and ensure incident notifications are managed appropriately;· assist in developing annual maintenance budgets and managing capital forecasts;· oversee work planning and scheduling in collaboration with planning teams;· lead continuous improvement through asset performance reviews and lean maintenance principles;· engage with external consultants and internal departments to uphold electrical best practices; and· act in the role of Infrastructure Electrical Superintendent during periods of absence.About the Candidate· confident working autonomously and leading maintenance teams in a regulated environment;· over 10 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably within HV environments;· strong expertise in HV transmission and distribution networks, including fault rectification;· proficiency in PLC, Citect, and field instrumentation;· sound knowledge of electrical standards, codes, and safety legislation;· skilled in developing maintenance strategies and managing contractor performance;· proven ability to work autonomously and lead technical teams effectively; and· excellent communication, organisational, and analytical skills.
