About The Role
RMIT is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to join the Enabling Services Reform (ESR) program. This multi-year initiative is focused on enhancing service delivery across RMIT's operations by improving efficiency, enabling digital transformation, and streamlining processes.
In this role, you will work closely with internal stakeholders across portfolios, colleges, and operational units, as well as external partners, to support the smooth execution of key projects. Partnering with project leads, you'll manage schedules, track progress, and ensure effective communication of project updates to the team and leadership. Your contributions will help drive the success of the ESR program and its goal of delivering enhanced efficiency and transformation across RMIT.
To be successful in this position, you'll have:
- Demonstrated experience as a Project Coordinator or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches.- Proficiency in preparing flowcharts, schedules, action plans, and tracking budgets, with the ability to analyse and adapt plans to ensure project milestones are met.- Exceptional organisational skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain strong attention to detail in a dynamic environment.- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders, facilitating collaboration and resolving conflicts to achieve project objectives.- Working knowledge of project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, or similar), including the ability to adapt to alternative tools and methodologies as needed.- Experience or familiarity with the tertiary education sector or learning and development initiatives, including technologies that support these areas, will be highly regarded.- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability to deliver project outcomes.

The Operations Portfolio at RMIT is led by the Chief Operating Officer and Vice President, who oversees the planning and delivery of enterprise-wide services that enable best-practice experiences for students and staff. The Portfolio encompasses key operational functions, including Data and Analytics, Finance, Information and Technology Services, Governance, Legal and Strategic Operations, People, and Property Services.
The Operations Portfolio plays a critical role in ensuring the effective functioning of the University by driving operational efficiency, supporting strategic initiatives, and fostering innovation across all areas of RMIT's global operations.
