We are currently looking for a **female** Disability Support Worker to **work in a variety of areas (including Craigieburn and Lower Plenty). Proven work experience in the mental health area will be highly regarded.**

We are currently seeking an experienced and committed Disability Support Worker to provide care and supervision for **a variety of shifts, mostly in blocks of 3-5 hours, Monday to Friday. **With possibility of on going shifts. Please note: we will have two support workers at all times working together with the client.

Applicants must be experienced with a responsible attitude. The successful applicant will be expected to have a good understanding of how to support an individual living with a disability. You must be passionate about helping others to maintain their quality of life and independence. You will need to be compassionate and empathetic with strong listening and communication skills to be successful and the ability to connect with people with behavioural challenges.

**Qualifications & Experiences**

We are looking for an energetic and dynamic Support Worker with the following:

- minimum Certificate III in Disability, Individual Support or relevant
- Current First Aid / CPR Certificate
- Driver licence
- NDIS Workers Screening Check

**Key Responsibilities & Duties for Disability Support Worker**
- Provide individualised support to our client using a supportive and positive approach
- Motivate and promote client independence
- Assist the client with their emotional, psychological, cultural and spiritual needs
- Support and encourage client during community outings
- Provide transport when required
- Make sure our client is HAPPY

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: From $30.00 per hour
