Data & Analytics Specialist, Climate & Esg Risk

**About the role**

The role is responsible for the integration of climate-related and ESG data into the bank's risk data and systems, provision of analytic modelling and reporting on climate-related and ESG risk metrics within Rabobank Australia and New Zealand (RANZ).

The Data & Analytics Specialist role is based in Sydney and is a part of the Enterprise and Operational Risk Management (EORM) department. The Data & Analytics team within EORM is a data and analytics centre-of-excellence that services the whole Risk Division.

**Some of the key responsibilities include**:

- Integrating climate-related and ESG data into risk data and systems.
- Developing and providing analytic modelling and reporting on climate-related and ESG risk metrics to support effective risk management, business decision making, and Board and management reporting, including reporting on portfolio/sector performance and (key) risk indicators as pertaining to climate-related and ESG risk.
- In consultation with the global Credit Analytics team and RANZ Climate-related & ESG Risk team, integrating climate-related & ESG risk assessments into credit risk modelling, including capital allocation, provisioning and stress testing.
- Providing expertise and advice on climate-related and ESG data and analytics to other Risk Management departments.

**To be successful you will have**
- Advanced tertiary qualifications majoring in statistics/mathematics/quantitative field
- Experience with programming in R, Python or other analytical tools
- Experience in risk analysis and reporting
- Experience in data visualisation tools e.g. Power BI
- Experience in geospatial data analysis (preferable)
- Understanding of climate and environmental risk data sources and modelling techniques (preferable)
- Good understanding of credit risk modelling, including capital, provisioning and stress testing (preferable)
