**Job Description**:
Great opportunity to lead a production team, with a focus on safety, driving team performance and delivering productivity targets

Are you an experienced Manufacturing/Operations Leader looking to join a global ASX listed organisation and take the next step in your career?

As part of the Supply Chain team, your role will be to provide leadership, resourcing, planning and direction to deliver excellence in safety, customer service, quality and operational cost performance for our site in Dandenong South. This role reports to the Site Manager and is critical to the success of the plant.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

- Creating a positive, productive and safe working environment
- Providing leadership, direction, coaching and support to a small team of Shift Supervisors
- Managing costs to achieve budgets and production forecasts via appropriate resourcing and planning
- Maintaining a sound industrial relations culture
- Implementing best practice initiatives and driving continuous improvement processes
- Maintaining quality and customer service standards
- Tertiary qualifications in Logistics, Engineering, Business or a related discipline
- Leadership experience in a fast paced industrial production or operations environment
- The leadership capability to drive and motivate a diverse multi-cultural workforce
- Solid experience in performance management and conflict resolution
- A commitment to safety, continuous improvement, innovation and change
- Business planning, budgetary and financial management experience
- Some exposure to production and maintenance planning, embracing the use of technology. Excel skills.
- Strong communication and team building skills
- Exposure to Six Sigma/Lean methodologies

Preferred Education

Bachelors - Mechanical Engineering, Bachelors - Operations Management, Diploma - Operations Management

Preferred Level of Work Experience

3 - 5 years
