Add expected salary to your profile for insights.Image Resources is a growing mineral sands producer operating a highly successful mine and processing facility at its 100%-owned, high-grade, zircon-rich Atlas mineral sands project, located approximately 2.5 hours north of Perth near Jurien Bay and Cervantes in Western Australia.The RoleAn exciting opportunity has emerged for a Senior Production Engineer/Alternate Senior Site Executive to join the new Atlas Mine Site team.
This position encompasses the responsibilities of the Quarry Manager and Alternate Senior Site Executive, in addition to executing short-term mining plans, designs, and schedules to optimise production.You will be responsible to:Fulfil the requirements of the appointed site Quarry Manager - Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022.Fulfil the requirements of the Alternate Senior Site Executive on an as required basis - Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022.Conduct daily inspections of the mine site to ensure compliance under the Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022, actively correcting any non-compliance.Ensure the Contractor provides appropriate supervision and training to their employees to meet health, safety, and environment obligations.Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly plans are executed according to budget/forecasts.Manage development works and projects within budget, controlling and reporting costs effectively.Interact regularly with Technical Services personnel to minimise dilution and mineral loss.Maintain mining production data and produce reports as needed.Contribute to short and medium-term mine optimisation planning, mine designs, and scheduling for various activities.About youTo succeed in this role, you should have:Tertiary qualification in Mine Engineering or related discipline.Minimum 5 years experience in an open pit operational mining role, preferably in mineral sands.At least 5 years of contractor management and supervision experience.Collaborative leadership style with strong communication, influence, and stakeholder engagement skills.A strong commitment to safety, health, environment, people, community, and workplace diversity.What's on OfferThis is a site-based DIDO role at the Atlas project in the Shire of Dandaragan, approximately 2.5 hours north of Perth, near Cervantes and Jurien Bay.The roster will be 8/6, with accommodation provided in a new camp facility.Candidates must meet pre-employment criteria, including medical, drug and alcohol screening, holding a valid driver's license, and a National Police Clearance.Image Resources is committed to diversity and encourages Female, Aboriginal, and Torres Strait Islander applicants, as well as local community residents, to apply.Shortlisting begins immediately.
