Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineering Professional to join our team. As a seasoned expert in data engineering, you will design, build, manage, and maintain data products in Microsoft Azure based on business requirements.

You'll work with a multi-vendor and in-house team to enhance existing pipelines, develop new ones, and optimize the medallion architecture to support analytics and reporting needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop data products in Microsoft Azure aligned with business requirements.
  • Design and implement ETL solutions using Azure Synapse Analytics or Informatica.
  • Create automated workflows for data ingestion, processing, and transformation using Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Pipelines, or Informatica.
  • Develop semantic data models for silver and gold layers of the Data Lake.
  • Implement data validation, cleansing, and security measures to ensure high-quality, secure data.
  • Manage Data Warehouses and Data Lakes using Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure Data Fabric.
  • Build solutions for streaming data via Azure Stream Analytics or Azure Event Hubs.
  • Create and maintain Power BI dashboards.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve data pipeline and storage issues.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in data engineering.
  • Strong SQL and Python skills for data processing and scripting.
  • Knowledge of data modelling techniques (dimensional modelling, star schema).
  • Proven ability to collaborate with BA and DBA teams to identify and map data requirements.
  • Tertiary qualifications or relevant Azure Data Engineer Associate certification.
  • Strong stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
  • Power BI development and enterprise report maintenance experience.
