Global Freight Forwarder

This well-established international freight forwarder located in Sydney's South/West is currently searching for an experienced Import Operator to join the team. In this role you will be accountable for the accurate and timely processing of end-to-end Import Air & Sea Freight shipments. The company has onsite parking facilities and a supportive team environment with a social club that ventures to restaurants and fun activities like bowling and pizza days.
**To be an eligible applicant it is essential you have experience working for a local Forwarder in an import air/sea operations capacity.**

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Job registration
- Monitoring cargo availability and status
- Cargo automation
- Organising & lodging underbond movements
- Finalising invoices to clients and overseas agents
- Third party billings
- Monitoring movement of transhipment cargo
- Collection & handover of delivery orders and EDO's
- Organising and unpacking of FAK groupage containers
- Organising airport retrievals
- Organising local & interstate road & rail movements
- Liaising with shipping lines, freight forwarders, overseas agents, customers, suppliers and internal staff

**Role Requirements**:

- Import operations experience within Freight Forwarding environment
- Computer literacy in MS Word and MS Excel
- Cargowise experience is an advantage
- Computer literacy MS Word, MS Excel & Outlook
- Excellent communication skills - verbal & written
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
- Team player
