**The Role**:
We have a newly created role for an experienced Construction Manager to act as ENGIE's primary representative at the Karratha, Western Australia - Yara site to ensure the safe delivery of the Yuri Hydrogen Project, into commercial operations within schedule and on budget.

The Construction Manager will be accountable to the Project Manager - Renewable Hydrogen and the role will be based on-site at Karratha. The is a 2 year fixed term role.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Working closely with Yara, the following responsibilities and accountabilities represent some of the key tasks required for the project and these can evolve and/or change as required by the project, to be aligned with the goals of the business.
- Liaise and interface with Yara, maintaining a sound working relationship to ensure the productivity of the EPC contractor.
- Oversee the successful execution of the EPC contract, enabling the contractor, where relevant, to deliver upon their contractual obligations whilst protecting ENGIE's commercial interests in the project
- Engage with the EPC contractor to proactively resolve issues impact progress and settle disagreements in a collaborative, pragmatic manner that preserves healthy relationships.
- Manage the execution of the lumpsum EPC contract - understand the requirements of the EPC contract and hold the contractor accountable to delivers and take appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of the agreed KPIs.
- Deliver reports as required including daily and monthly reports to monitor and record the contractor's performance and retain records to settle potential claims and disputes.

**About You**:
To be successful in this role, you will have extensive experience in construction leadership roles at program level for an owner / operating company overseeing EPC contractors, with specific experience working in major hazard facilities involving flammable/toxic gases and liquids. You have deep knowledge in brownfield work interfacing with operating site with permit to work system and mediating alternative business priorities between operations and EPC.

You have a safety-first mindset and able to ensure accountability of self and others. You are collaborative in your approach and have the ability to persuade for a favourable outcome.
