Asquith Workforce specialise in providing labour hire and recruitment to a variety of industries in the Newcastle, Hunter Valley and surrounding areas.

**About your role**

Reporting to the_ Service Delivery Manager_, this role will see you working on a locomotive new build line conducting detailed Internal & external fit-outs on cabs, general maintenance as well as servicing and general workshop duties.

**Day to day tasks will include**:

- Cut & Install flooring
- Installation of air ducting, acoustic Insulation, roof & wall linings
- Internal and external GRP Panels
- Window and door assembly installations
- Sealing and backfilling using Sikaflex Products

**About you**:

- Australian recognised trade certificate & hold a Certificate of Proficiency (COP) - Carpentry Joinery, Shop Fitting, Shipwright or Vehicle Building
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Reliable, committed & punctual.
- Commitment to a safe work environment and practices
- Ability to interpret schematics and production drawings.
- Work autonomously and in a team environment.
- Focused on quality work & customer service excellence.
- Rail/ locomotive experience, forklift licence or Work Cover overhead crane licence (nice to have)

To be successfully considered for this work, you will hold a relevant Trade Certificate, have a high-level focus on Safety, current drivers' license and vehicle, be able to pass a Medical, Pre-Employment Assessment & Drug & Alcohol Test if required.
