What is your mission?
As a Manager Risk Acquisitions within ANZx, your mission is to develop credit strategies that support the ANZx purpose, while also ensuring it aligns with ANZ's credit risk policy, strategy, governance and oversight across the credit lifecycle, balancing customer, shareholder, and regulatory objectives. Our dedicated team understand the power of data, science, technology, and people to collaborate to solve business problems. They leverage data and analytics to formulate solutions and work with business stakeholders to develop sound proposals that promote sustainable and profitable business growth. Your skillset and experience will enable you to provide thought leadership to deliver quality credit policy and strategy management. You will influence strategic direction by translating data into insights and practical business recommendations, communicating team objectives, and presenting data in digestible, logical, and compelling ways.

What will your day look like
Deliver on actionable/value-add insights and analyses in support of the decision automation and optimisation journey of the ANZx Retail Risk function;
Streamline credit risk strategy, policy, and processes to support the ANZx vision of high automation for the ANZx portfolio;
Deliver improved decision automation, low friction and fast outcomes for customers whilst managing ANZ risk appropriately;
Utilise analytical techniques, leveraging existing data and system infrastructure, to create more tailored decisions and offers that improve customer and business outcome;
End to end delivery of changes from ideation to rollout, coordinating with stakeholders across the business.
What will you bring?
A self-starter with a high degree of initiative and autonomy to navigate ambiguity and make decisions within a broadly defined direction and set boundaries.
At least five years of relevant experience solving complex business problems within a retail lending environment that require strong judgment, commercial focus, and thought leadership, drawing on various techniques and prior experiences, extrapolating, exploring, and experimenting where new challenges are encountered.
Enjoy working "on the tools", with strong working knowledge of data science, and/or business decision systems and/or reporting software tools (e.g., MS Excel, SAS, SQL, R, Python, Qlik, Tableau, Power BI, PowerCurve, TRIAD Customer Manager, AbInitio).
Solid stakeholder management experience to build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships with key personnel throughout value-chain, understanding and responding to stakeholder needs.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, to translate technical content into business insights, author business narratives and recommendations clearly and simply.
An effective coach who is sought out for their knowledge and experience when troubleshooting and guidance is needed.
Relevant prior work experience within industries including (but not limited to): financial, professional, or consulting services, utilities, engineering, information/data providers
