Mergers and Acquisitions Risk Manager

This is a senior-level position that involves underwriting transaction liability insurance products, including representations and warranties (R&W) insurance, warranty and indemnity (W&I) insurance, tax insurance, and contingent liability insurance.
- The successful candidate will be able to review the legal, tax, financial, and other risks associated with a corporate transaction in a wide array of sectors.
- You will quote, project-manage, and underwrite representation and warranty insurance policies in connection with mergers and acquisitions transactions.
- Structure and negotiate bespoke insurance policies with lawyers and brokers domestically and abroad.
- Win new business and build strong working relationships with key lawyers, bankers, and brokers, as well as proactively seeking out opportunities to drive new business within the company.
- Effectively assess and price risks considering factors such as business sector, deal structure, jurisdiction, and indemnification obligations in accordance with underwriting guidelines.
The ideal candidate will have a commercial approach to risk assessment and sharp decision-making skills. You will work closely with the team to identify development needs and provide coaching, buddying, and technical training to more junior and new team members.
Risk Management Expertise: The successful candidate will have extensive experience in managing complex risks associated with corporate transactions, including identifying potential liabilities and developing strategies to mitigate them.
Strong Communication Skills: The ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders, including lawyers, bankers, and brokers, is essential for this role.
Business Development: The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities and building relationships with key clients.
