This hands-on role is ideal for someone with a passion for broadacre farming and proven experience in crop irrigation systems.
You'll play a key role in supporting seasonal cropping programs and ensuring optimal irrigation performance across the farm.
Key Responsibilities:Assist with planting, spraying, harvesting, and general crop management activitiesOperate and maintain crop irrigation systemsOperate tractors, loaders, ATVs, headers, sprayers and other farm machineryCarry out machinery maintenance and basic repairsTroubleshoot, repair, and maintain pumps, pipes, and other irrigation infrastructureCarry out general farm maintenance, including mowing lawns, cleaning sheds, and tidying work areasPerform general farm duties as needed to support smooth operations What You'll Bring:Previous experience as a farm hand, particularly with broadacre farming operationsHands on experience in crop irrigation and knowledge of irrigation scheduling principlesMechanically minded with the ability to operate and maintain farm machineryA current HR Truck licence is desirableStrong work ethic with a proactive and can-do attitudeWillingness to work flexible hours during peak periodsCommitment to safety, quality, and teamwork What We Offer:On site family accommodationSchool bus access to local schoolsA supportive and collaborative work environmentOpportunities to grow and develop within a forward-thinking farming businessThe chance to be part of a team that values doing the right thing and caring for people, animals, and the land To learn more about McLean Farms and what we do, please visit our website: .
