- **About the role**:_

We are on the hunt for an experienced and dedicated Disability Support Worker to lead our Young Adult Social Group (YASG). This role will be responsible for assisting adults on the autism spectrum to develop and maintain meaningful relationships with neuro typical peers.

You will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating the YASG activities, including developing a calendar of activities, booking venues, advertise outings, arrange for peer volunteers to attend each outing. You will support participants on the autism spectrum to engage in activities, with an emphasis on developing communication and social skills through community participation long side neuro typical volunteers. There is also an end of year Christmas Party to be arranged and attended.

- You have an enthusiastic, positive and proactive approach to working with people on the autism spectrum.
- You are an excellent communicator and have an ability to quickly build rapport with stakeholders.
- You are organised, have exceptional time management skills and enjoy working autonomously.
- You have previous experience coordinating/working in disability support programs.
- You must have a current First Aid certificate, NDIS Worker Screening Check and a Working With Children's Check.
- You have a valid NSW Driver's Licence and an insured vehicle (desirable).

Pay: $45.00 - $63.00 per hour
