Hays has partnered with a Council in Northern Sydney to find a Trainee Parking Officer to join their Compliance Team on a casual, ongoing basis. Located in Sydney's North, this Local Government Area administers Sydney's second-largest CBD and popular tourist attractions. This Local Government Area has a strong focus on customer service and delivering the best outcomes for their local community.

**Your new role**

In this role you will learn the skills to become a Parking Officer. Being trained by an experienced team of officers, you will:

- Patrol the LGA on foot and in a vehicle, including school zones and event parking.
- Issue parking infringements.
- Educate the public on local laws.
- Responding to parking complaints from the public.

**What you'll need to succeed**

To be successful in this role, you will need a background in either front line retail sales or hospitality. We are looking for a driven, customer-centric individual who wants the best outcome for their community.

The essential skills required are:

- Strong verbal and written communication.
- Strong dispute resolution skills.
- The ability to work well in a team.
- Full, current NSW Driving Licence
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19

**What you'll get in return**

If you are successful in this role, you will receive training from an experienced parking team. This role is 38 hours/week, Monday to Friday and you will earn $35/hr + super.
