Parks & Gardens Apprenticeship

A career in parks and gardens can be a rewarding experience for those who are passionate about the environment. If you're interested in pursuing a career in this field, consider an apprenticeship with our partner in the Southern Highlands.

You will learn your trade from a team of experienced professionals who are dedicated to preserving the natural world. During your apprenticeship, you will gain hands-on experience in planting trees, bushes, and plants. You'll also learn how to mow and whipper snip lawns, edge and mulch gardens, and undertake bush revegetation projects. Additionally, you'll develop skills in raising and caring for Australian Native Plants, as well as implementing plant establishment programs.

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong passion for nature and the environment. You'll need to be physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced outdoor environment. You should also be well-presented and have a great work ethic. A driver's license is required, and you'll need to be willing to follow instructions and work as part of a team.

Benefits of this apprenticeship include gaining a Certificate III in Parks & Gardens, earning while you learn, and learning from experienced professionals. Uniforms and PPE are provided, and you'll have access to a dedicated mentor to support and guide you throughout your apprenticeship.
