About North East Link
North East Link is the biggest ever investment in Melbourne's north-east - changing the way people move around Melbourne.
Victoria's longest road tunnels will fix the missing link in our city's freeway network, take 15,000 trucks off local roads a day and slash travel times by up to 35 minutes. We'll also complete the Ring Road in Greensborough, overhaul the Eastern Freeway, build Melbourne's first dedicated busway and the North East Trail - more than 34km of walking and cycling paths.
About the Opportunity
Be part of a transformative infrastructure project for Victoria, with an exciting role in the North East Link Tunnels Communications and Stakeholder Relations team.
You'll join an experienced communications team and get great exposure to a range of issues, stakeholders, challenges and opportunities as construction activity increases. A key part of the role will be working alongside our major tunnelling contractor to coordinate and deliver localised engagement. Keeping impacted residents, traders and stakeholders well informed and involved, while ensuring that communications material are concise and clear.
The role will act as a key face of the project attending community engagement sessions, taking part in doorknocks and other engagement activities as required. You will also liaise with project delivery teams to deliver project activities and support the team in effectively managing community and stakeholder issues, public enquiries and preparing presentations.

About You

**You are**:

- Experienced communications professional in a political and time sensitive environment, and are resilient in the face of community concerns.
- A strong verbal and written communicator who is comfortable talking to people about a range of topics and has a good radar for picking up issues and sentiment.
- Proactive and contribute to a positive, open, delivery focussed culture that values and supports others, and has an approach based on collaboration, achievement and challenging the status quo to ensure the best possible outcomes for our community and project are attained.
- Have a relevant qualification in communications, public relations, media or public policy discipline, or relevant experience is mandatory.
- Experience in a major project environment is desirable but not mandatory.
