Cabinet And Parliament Program Advisor

The Department of Education Cabinet and Parliament Unit has an opportunity for a VPS4 Cabinet and Parliament Program Advisor role for up to 6 months.
This role offers a development opportunity to someone with either an administrative or policy background wanting to strengthen their stakeholder management skills and develop a good understanding of the processes that support government decision making and accountability. The role offers a first hand experience of how decision making in government works, working in a supportive and collaborative team.
The role is responsible for providing support and advice to facilitate Cabinet and Parliament processes across the Department to support our Secretary and our Ministers.
In undertaking this role, the Program Advisor will work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on managing a range of stakeholder relationships, developing communications that provide advice and ensuring records and documents are maintained to support reporting and tracking.
