Movember is the leading charity changing the face of men's health globally, tackling mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer, testicular cancer.
**About the role**
The **Global Lead,** **Prostate Cancer Research** oversees prostate cancer initiatives within Movember's Impact portfolio. The role drives research and partnerships to enhance men's health awareness and is a part of the newly created Mo Institute. The Institute's vision is to elevate men's health by fostering collaborations and addressing key issues like cancer, health literacy, gender-inclusive care, and mental well-being, while also exploring the connection between men's health and masculinities.
This newly created position is being offered on a permanent full-time basis. You will have the opportunity to work flexibly, blending your time between home and our Richmond office.
**You'll have the opportunity to**
- Lead the Prostate Cancer Research initiatives within a cross-functional team.
- Develop and execute implementation plans.
- Oversee clinical partnerships, data platforms, and evaluation strategies.
- Provide guidance for Preventing Disease Progression and Personalised Active Surveillance initiatives.
- Manage the Integrated analytical database development.
- Supervise Global Action Plan projects and partnership grants.
- Lead the implementation and advocacy plans for PSMA to establish theragnostic as standard care.
- Collaborate with Implementation Directors and Advocacy teams to enhance access to PSMA testing and treatment.
- Foster team growth by providing support, promoting accountability, and facilitating knowledge sharing.
- Manage program budgets and risks.
- Strengthen collaboration both internally and externally.
- Serve as a public spokesperson for prostate cancer.
- Oversee progress reporting.
**For this role, you'll need**
- Post-graduate degree in a biomedical or related discipline
- 10+ years experience in progam design, development and implementation
- 10+ years experience in leading and executing cancer research initiatives
- Demonstrated experience and proven track record in directing and leading multiinstitutional research collaborations, ideally trans-national projects
- Strong background and understanding of prostate cancer - ideally in clinical and
research environments
- Proven ability to lead in matrix organisations
- Proven ability to deliver and influence outcomes as a business partner in an integrated cross-functional matrix organisation;
- Can translate strategy into action; proven track record in implementation of a portfolio of impact initiatives
- Proven ability to achieve impact through collaboration across the sector
