**Position Information**:
St Marys South Public School (340 enrolments, including 7% Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students) is located on Dharug Country, on the fringes of the Penrith Valley. As 40% of our students come from families with language backgrounds other than English, our school community celebrates a rich diversity from a wide range of cultural backgrounds. The Learning and Support teaching position is for applicants possessing a positive rapport with students, staff, and parents.

**Selection Criteria**:
Approval to teach students with learning and support needs in mainstream classes.

Ability to work collaboratively with classroom teachers to identify adjustments needed to support student learning needs through a range of strategies and experience in creating, processing, and evaluating access requests for support services.

Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with parents, carers and educational professionals, fostering a comprehensive understanding of student's needs.

Evidence of ability to successfully assist with professional learning for classroom teachers and School Learning Support Officers.
