School Development Coordinator

It is an exciting time for tennis in Australia and we have some ambitious plans to grow the game from grassroots through to high performance. To do this we are transforming how we deliver tennis, with the aim of making it more accessible, to more people, more often. To help us achieve our plan we are looking for a School Development Coordinator to join our team to drive greater engagement and participation in tennis.

Reporting into the Schools & Pathway Manager, in this role you will support schools in developing tennis plans which may include school program implementation, teacher education, competition development, facility development, as well as engaging our partners in the execution of these plans. Through this partnership with schools, you will improve the quality and consistency of program delivery in your region, whilst linking directly to Government school initiatives designed to entrench tennis into school culture and curriculum.

In this role you will:

- Build strong working relationships with local schools and school sport associations
- Support schools in developing a holistic tennis plan ensuring it meets the objectives of the regional tennis plan
- Develop pathways to transition students from school-based tennis to participation in community-based tennis
- Implement learning plans for your region to upskill teachers on the evolving national program and school initiatives
- Develop a strong network of relationships to enhance school programs where teachers advocate for tennis
- Create reward and recognition opportunities for schools
- Provide reporting and local school insights to help grow participation
- Support any Diversity & Inclusion projects aligned with Tennis SA plans and initiatives

What you will bring to the role:

- Experience in territory management and building strong customer relationships
- Proven track record of driving sustainable growth through impactful partnerships
- Strong organisational skills with a focus on attention to detail
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills in both one-on-one and public settings
- Tertiary qualification in education, teaching, sports management or similar is preferred
- You must hold a current Australian drivers license
- You must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check
