Queensland University of Technology (QUT) is seeking a Lecturer to join School of Justice, Faculty of Creative Industries, Education and Social Justice, Academic Division.

The School of Justice, Faculty of Creative Industries, Education and Social Justice is recruiting for an ongoing full time Lecturer to contribute to real world research and teaching being undertaken in the School.

We pursue research with impact, and our researchers collaborate on projects in specialised research groups and facilities across disciplines and institutions.
The Faculty of Creative Industries, Education and Social Justice is led by the Executive Dean and the Faculty Executive team comprising the Executive Dean, Deputy Dean, Heads of School, Associate Dean Learning and Teaching, Associate Dean Research, and Faculty Operations Manager.
The faculty is comprised of the following Schools under the leadership of the respective Head of School:

- School of Communication
- School of Creative Practice
- School of Design
- School of Early Childhood and Inclusive Education
- School of Teacher Education and Leadership
- School of Justice

In addition, specialist Faculty professional functions include
- Faculty Operations: Budget and Planning, School Administration Support, Space, Equipment and Assets, and Technical Services teams under the leadership of the Faculty Operations Manager
- Office of the Deputy Dean: Engagement, and Student Specialist Support under the leadership of the Deputy Dean
- Office of the Executive Dean under the leadership of the Executive Dean

The School of Justice is part of the Faculty of Creative Industries, Education and Social Justice at the Queensland University of Technology. It is home to distinguished international researchers and a leader in high-impact interdisciplinary research. It's Journal, the International Journal for Crime, Justice and Social Democracy is the top ranked Law Journal in Australia by Scopus. In 2012 it established the QUT Centre for Justice. This tier one university research centre is trailblazing new theoretical and epistemological horizons through its work in Digital Justice; Gender, Sexuality and Justice; Social Activism and Change; Justice Beyond Borders and Justice and Diversity.

**What you need to succeed**

You will thrive in this role as an experienced and dynamic academic with a passion for innovative research and teaching, which prepares students for the real-world.

You will demonstrate:
1. Completion of a doctoral qualification in Political Science or a social science field relevant to the School's teaching and research.
2. Experience teaching at undergraduate level, especially in areas related to policy and politics.
3. Record of quality research and scholarly publications in fields relevant to the QUT Centre for Justice.
4. Demonstrated awareness of contemporary global trends in the fields of policy, politics and justice and ability to embed innovative approaches to learning and teaching.
5. Proven ability to contribute to a high performance and collaborative culture, with a demonstrated commitment to collegiality.
6. Capability of supervising HDR students.
7. Record of, or capacity to, contribute to administration in a University or professional setting and to interact within these settings.

**Desirable Criteria**
1. Record of high quality teaching into policy and/or politics courses.
2. Ability to teach into both majors in the Bachelor of Justice.
