**Maintenance & Plant Operator**
- Temporary role with the possibility of ongoing work
- 7:45am - 4:00pm
- $30 - $40 per hour depending on experience

**The Role**:
The maintenance & plant operator is responsible for operating dozer, compactor, excavator, front end loader, articulated dump trucks, hook truck and other plant and equipment as required to undertake efficient and safe landfill and transfer station operations
- Operate and plant or equipment up to 60 tonne gross vehicle mass associated with landfill and transfer station operations
- Maintain plant and equipment including conduct of pre-start checks, greasing and regular maintenance
- Document and report equipment defects or damage
- Direct customers and vehicles on site
- Provide direction, leadership, and on-the-job training
- The position does include occasional overtime with emergencies/call outs as required, may be required to be on standby

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- HR licence & current Victorian driver's licence
- A high level of competence and appropriate licences/tickets (compactor, dozer, excavator, front end loader, articulated dump truck, hook truck)
- Knowledge of landfill operations, effective waste placement process and EPA compliance
- Knowledge of transfer station and resource recovery operations
- Skilled in problem solving using both practical experience and theoretical knowledge
- Ability to work to and follow landfill cell design
