Our client is looking for an experienced Principal Project Officer to play an important role in the design, implementation, delivery and coordination of leadership and management capability development programs and initiatives to support the capability development of the Queensland Health workforce.

This position plays an important role in the design, implementation, delivery and coordination of leadership and management capability development programs and initiatives to support the capability development of the Queensland Health workforce.

**Key responsibilities of the role**:

- Analyse and identify capability and learning needs based on stakeholder engagement, relevant data sources and business needs.
- Design and develop contemporary capability and training solutions to enhance workforce capability and support business objectives.
- Lead and manage specified projects in line with contemporary project management methodologies to support the design and delivery of learning and development products and services to the Queensland Health workforce.
- Lead the design and delivery of group process design including diagnostic tool debriefs, strategic planning sessions, coaching and mentoring, culture improvement initiatives.
- Promote and ensure the use of appropriate change management techniques, methodologies and tools, including benefits realisation and risk and issue management, to ensure quality learning and development outcomes are delivered.
- Oversee, analyse and report project related trends, evaluation data and performance against project objectives and strategic intent.
- Prepare and disseminate high quality documentation including plans and materials for specific project activities associated with achieving project objectives.
- Provide advice and guidance to stakeholders and senior management on specific issues relating to areas of responsibility.
- Initiate, develop and maintain networks with and between internal and external stakeholders and facilitate effective communication.
- Proactively continue to develop own technical knowledge and expertise to serve the functions of the role and the environment.
- Provide authoritative advice to senior and executive management using effective written communications skills in the development of learning and project material, correspondence including Departmental briefings, and reports.
- Foster and encourage a workplace environment that is outcomes focused and support a culture of continuous improvement and learning through effective communication.

In this role of Principal Project Officer you will report to the Manager of Health Service Partnership's.

**Essential experience for this role**:

- Demonstrated high level knowledge of contemporary approaches to the design, development and delivery of learning and development products and services.
- Experience in stakeholder relationship management to support effective business change, including the ability to initiate relationships and influence key stakeholders.
- Demonstrated high level analytical, planning and evaluation skills including the ability to effectively integrate related activities to achieve project deliverables and outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to provide authoritative advice to senior management on a range of workforce, leadership and development issues with the ability to prepare submissions, briefings and reports.
- While not mandatory, a relevant qualification in organisational psychology would be highly regarded.
- This position may require travel to Hospital and Health Services.
