Overview
Systems Controller role at Central Coast Council.
This is an exciting opportunity to utilise knowledge of water and sewer networks in our Water Operations Centre.

Responsibilities
Contribute to the operation of your local community's water and sewer system
Work in a dynamic and customer-focused team
Permanent full-time position – 24/7 shift roster with 12-hour shifts to promote work-life balance
You will also be responsible for monitoring system availability, configuration and performance of the water and sewer systems in real time, proactively controlling system operations to minimise the impact of system failures, prioritising and triaging work orders for the dispatch of work crews, and providing technical expertise and advice to field staff as required.
Shifts involve day and night shifts to cover a 24/7 roster, Monday to Sunday.
Qualifications
A Certificate IV qualification in Engineering or related field OR demonstrated solid contemporary experience in water and/or sewage network management within water and sewer disciplines or experience in a similar role.
A current Class C Drivers Licence.
Experience and understanding of the operational management of a distributed network of assets.
Experience and understanding of water, wastewater and networks.
The ability to effectively utilise information technology, including computerised control & monitoring systems (e.g. SCADA) and geographical information systems.
Other important information
The commencing salary for this position is up to $92.9k per year.
Central Coast Council also provides progression opportunities to progress up to the maximum salary of $107.7k on completion of assessment of skills and performance plus shift penalties as per Award plus 12% superannuation.
We have a permanent full-time role available.
This role is located at the Nexus Business Hub, North Wyong.
Council may create an eligibility list from this recruitment process and may utilise this eligibility list to fill other permanent or temporary vacancies.
