Director – SES1 – Fixed term (5 years) What you'll do The Director, Strategy, Policy, Performance and Integrity leads a Branch responsible for :driving strategic thinking and the development of policy advice to shape the future of the Victorian public sectorsetting standards and monitoring sector performanceproviding authoritative leadership and advice on Victorian public sector professionalism and integrity matters.
The role requires a strong passion and commitment for public service and driving capability, professionalism, engagement, and integrity.
The role oversees three VPS 6 managers and an overall Branch of ~ 15 people.
This multifaceted role offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative executive team and leadership environment.

We are looking for individuals who are :Passionate about the future of the Victorian public sectorAre experienced executives with excellent leadership and management skillsSkilled in leading strategy, policy and performance monitoring and reportingCommitted to the VPS valuesLooking for variety, flexibility and work / life balance Selection criteria You should have :Demonstrated experience in policy and strategy development, in areas such as public administration, capability and / or integrityA strong capacity for critical thinking and problem solvingExceptional leadership and people management skills, including the capacity to build teams and steward teams through changeStrong experience in working with stakeholders across government and in building constructive, long-term relationshipsExperience in working across a range of Victorian or other jurisdictions' public sector agencies in policy development and strategy rolesA relevant tertiary qualification in public policy, public administration, law or a similar area.
