What you'll do
The Director, Strategy, Policy, Performance and Integrity leads a Branch responsible for:
- driving strategic thinking and the development of policy advice to shape the future of the Victorian public sector
- setting standards and monitoring sector performance
- providing authoritative leadership and advice on Victorian public sector professionalism and integrity matters.
The role requires a strong passion and commitment for public service and driving capability, professionalism, engagement, and integrity.
The role oversees three VPS 6 managers and an overall Branch of ~ 15 people.
This multifaceted role offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative executive team and leadership environment.

Selection criteria
You should have:
- Demonstrated experience in policy and strategy development, in areas such as public administration, capability and/or integrity
- A strong capacity for critical thinking and problem solving
- Exceptional leadership and people management skills, including the capacity to build teams and steward teams through change
- Strong experience in working with stakeholders across government and in building constructive, long-term relationships
- Experience in working across a range of Victorian or other jurisdictions' public sector agencies in policy development and strategy roles
- A relevant tertiary qualification in public policy, public administration, law or a similar area.
